Definition | A casting machine with a hinged cradle holding the crucible and casting ring. During the initial acceleration the right angle to the casting arm aligns with the inertial forces. As the machine spins up, the acceleration lessens and the cradle swings into alignment with the casting arm, maximizing the inertial force of the metal into the mold. |
