Definition | A scanner that uses a white light source such as LEDs to create a three dimensional image by measuring the light reflected off an object. The object or the projector/scanner is rotated until the entire object has been surveyed. Because the scanner samples its entire field of view with every frame, it can in theory be faster and more accurate than single-beam methods. |
