Definition | An implant attached to the rami and the anterior portion of the mandible with a supragingival connecting bar to support a lower overdenture. Used when the mandible is too thin to support an endosteal or subperiosteal implant. Also used to reinforce a weak mandible across the mandibular symphysis. |
