Definition | A temporary restoration that is fabricated in the dental clinic in one of two ways. 1. A preoperative impression is taken, and after the teeth are prepared, it is filled with a self-curing composite and placed over the preparations for curing. 2. A vacuum-formed shell is made over a study model, and after the teeth are prepared, it is filled with a light-cured composite and placed over the preparations before curing. |
