Definition | An articulator that simulates condylar pathways by mechanical means. Some amount of adjustment is possible for lateral, protrusive and Bennett movements. There are two basic types: 1. Arcon (articulating condyle), where the condyle is part of the lower member of the articulator. 2. Non-arcon, where the condyle is part of the upper member of the articulator. |
